Disco
Sister Love Poem to the World
“Language itself can
be a visual medium. Often when writing,
I look at individual letters and words as visual structures. When I think about
visual poetry, I think about Apollinaire, da Levy and cinema. I have been taking photographs for nearly as
long as I have been writing poetry and recently began fusing the two mediums in
a way that works symbiotically. I merge text with my photographs and the two
ignite, each form illuminating the other to create something new.”—Amanda
